Section 23
Special Provisions on Investigation and Prosecution

(1) Regardless of what is written in the prevailing law, the Government of Nepal shall constitute a separate unit to investigate the criminal acts alleged against children.
(2) Unless a separate unit is formed according to sub-section (1), the Government of Nepal may assign trained personnel working in the District Police Office to do the work.
